We are honored to introduce Ms. Megan Kem, the final Principal of Christian County High School in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. As the last leader of the Colonels—an institution proudly established in 1960—Ms. Kem is committed to writing a powerful final chapter in the legacy of CCHS. With every decision and every initiative, she leads with pride, purpose, and a deep love for the school that has shaped generations.
Ms. Kem holds a Master’s degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s degree in Counseling and School Administration from Murray State University. Her journey in education reflects her unwavering dedication to learning and leadership. A passionate reader and a relentless advocate for students, Ms. Kem believes deeply in the work of the Profile of a Graduate, ensuring that every student is equipped to rise into their future—whether in college, career, or service.
Under her leadership, the Colonels are rising up—One Last Time — For All Time. Ms. Kem’s vision is to make this final year one of celebration, unity, and excellence. As she guides the school through this historic transition, she remains rooted in tradition while fiercely focused on student success.
Outside the school walls, Ms. Kem is a devoted wife to her husband of 18 years, Matt, and the proud mother of Lilly (12) and Charlie (9). Her heart for family and community shines through in her leadership at CCHS.
As we close this final chapter in the proud history of Christian County High School, Ms. Kem stands at the helm—leading with courage, compassion, and the Colonel spirit. This year, and always, we RISE UP.
